We have finally arrived at Chattanooga, Tennessee!
After a 20 hour journey the first thing I did was went for a run alongside the beautiful waterfront. The heat of the day was challenging, but gave me an insight to the conditions on race day.
My partner (Nick) and I rode the bike course the following day. To say it's challenging would be an understatement. I felt quite daunted staring up at the Appalachian Mountains, but the view from the top is incredible!
The swim will take place in the Tennessee river, of course they have made the course up stream! Once this part of the race is out the way I feel I can get my head down on the bike and push to the challenging course of the run,
I picked up my race number yesterday, 1322, it was incredible to be stood with so many athletes from all around the world. In my line I was with a French and Japanese athlete.
Last bike spin today before a rest day tomorrow. Big race kicks off for me at 8.11am USA time - so 1.11pm UK time.
All that's left is to enjoy it. One thing for sure is this is going to be a once in a life time experience,
